Stimson Showstopper Perform, First Friday at Heckscher Museum of Art

Dec. 3: 5 Things You Need to Know Today

1. The Stimson Showstoppers student choral group will entertain visitors with some of their favorite holiday tunes at the tonight at 7 pm. This event is free and open to the public.

2. Artists in the Attic is hosting an open studio reception tonight from 6-8 pm at Yankee Peddler Antiques in Huntington Station. Listen to smooth jazz as you join the member artists for an exhibit and sale of their work. Call for more information, 631-271-5817.

3. It's First Friday at the Heckscher Museum of Art. Explore the exhibition  "Rock On! Masterworks of Rock Photography" with free admission during the Museum's extended viewing hours and enjoy a performance at 7:30 pm by Laura Cheadle, who will sing a selection of original music as well as songs by artists featured in the exhibition.

4. It's Family Zumba night at the HEC Gymnasium. Bring the whole family for this free night of exercise and fun. For more information, call 631-421-4242.

5. The boys basketball team plays a non-league game with Jericho at Jericho High School at 7:45 p.m following the JV boys game.
