Not too far north of me I have seen gang signs sprayed on buildings on Depot Rd and 110. I get the same comments as you about living here. I say that there is HS and there is HS. The gangs are there. They are just smart enough not to go around parading and advertising they are there. Try asking the kids at the high school about it. Why else would the cops put in "Shot Spotters" in the area?
Still Huntington is one of the best towns to live in on LI. Hopefully they stay to their "territories" until the cops clean them up. Not an easy task.
