Whitman Honors Athletes of the Month
Alexandra Dukes and Joe Calderone recognized for excellence.
honored two athletes for the month of December at a recent presentation.
Alexandra Dukes: The senior sprinter and long jumper recently ran a personal best 43.42 in the 300-meter dash at the Bishop Loughlin Games. She is currently ranked ninth overall in Suffolk County, according to the school.
Joseph Calderone: Calderone, a sopohomore, posted an impressive 17-0 record in December. He was the Andrew Peers Tournament champion and was voted by coaches Most Outstanding Wrestler. He also had the most falls in the least time and was the North Babylon Tournament champion.
