Senior Athlete Dominates Games
Huntington resident takes home 19 medals at Long Island Senior Games in June.
Huntington resident Peter Vannucci won 19 medals at the 2011 Long Island Senior Games held at Suffolk Community College in June.
Honored by the Town Board at a meeting last week, Vannucci, 80, earned eight gold medals and 11 silver medals in golf, track and swimming at this year's event.
He has won 50 senior games medals in all since 2004, according to the town.
