senior Christian Yeager is swimming at an elite level. But swimming one lane over and competing against the world's best?
That was the case this past weekend when Yeager went head-to-head with 14-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps. The two crossed wakes at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club Christmas Meet in Annapolis, Md.
This is Phelps' home turf as the 26-year-old trains for the 2012 Olympics.
, placed fourth to Phelps in the 200- and 400-yard individual medleys. He also finished fourth against Phelps in the 100 and 200 backstroke.
Just one week earlier, Yeager in the 200 back.
