2 Whitman Bowlers Lead the Way

Sondermann, Ross score second in tournament.

Whitman’s Sean Sondermann and Jonathan Ross bowled their way to second place in last week’s Suffolk County doubles tournament, held at Sayville Lanes.

The duo missed first place by 13 points.

After five games, Sean bowled a 191-231-199-190 and 235, while Jonathan bowled a 244-211-238-232, and 156, to give the duo a 213 per man average.

“Both boys bowled really well at this tournament,” said Whitman coach Kenneth Fast. “Sean, who holds our team high average of 183, got a big boost with Jonathan really stepping up, bowling 183 points over his usual average.”

Whitman has one more meet before divisional championships, to be held Tuesday.
