Residents and Town Supervisor Agree: It's Time to Work Together
Town Board comes to Jack Abrams Intermediate School for a meeting with parents.
Following some confusion Wednesday regarding if and when Huntington Supervisor Frank Petrone would be at Jack Abrams Intermediate School, he and three Town Board members, Susan Berland, Glenda Jackson and Mark Mayoka, all appeared Friday at 4 p.m.
Dozens of Huntington School District parents were there to meet with them and were full of questions regarding how parents could be assured that the children who attend the Abrams school are safe.
Suggestions ranged from creating a community center and moving them out right away. In the end, parents and town officials agreed on one thing for sure. That is to accomplish anything, they have to work together.
