Tim Westergren, founder of Pandora internet radio and the Music Genome Project® will be coming to Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory's DNA Learning Center for a discussion with the first leader of the Human Genome Project, Nobel laureate Dr. James D. Watson and a panel of CSHL scientists. Westergren and Watson will be discussing the juxtaposition of the Music Genome Project - and how it powers Pandora's personalization using up to 400 distinct musical characteristics or "genes" - with the mapping of the human genome.
