The Huntington school district is accepting information for all children who are eligible for kindergarten this September, those children who are age 5 by Dec. 1, 2011.
Families with children who are eligible for kindergarten need to contact the office of Student Registration to receive a Kindergarten Registration Packet. After that, they may schedule an appointment for registration and screening.
Registration is by appointment only at various schools in the district, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 8, 10, 15, 17, 30 and 31.

For questions and to make an appointment, please contact the Central Registration Office at 631-673-4299 or send an e-mail to Noreen Hernandez at nhernandez@hufsd.edu.
Parents/guardians must present proof of birth, immunization record, proof of residency in the district and proof of guardianship / parental relationship. Families will then be required to visit their child’s school and present records of immunizations and academic information to receive their class assignment and to complete the registration process.
