Huntington Camera Club Meets at HPL

The Huntington Camera Club meets at the Huntington Public Library auditorium from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9.

The group's September meeting is 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

The Huntington Camera Club was founded in 1966 to provide beginning and advanced photographers an opportunity to learn to improve their skills, meet with others interested in photography, and provide a forum for showing their photographs. Membership is open to everyone with an interest in photography regardless of their skill level.

The club offers instructional programming, multimedia presentations, judged competitions, field trips and other events, including special dinners and a family picnic. A monthly newsletter lists the activities, and includes the competition results and informative articles.

Annual dues are $50 a year for single memberships, $35 for students and seniors age 62 and over, and $70 for family memberships. About 30 meetings are held each year. The club also conducts an annual photo competition for high school students.
