Birchwood Students Add Their Voices

'World's Largest Concert' set for March.

Birchwood Intermediate School will be participating in the national broadcast of the 2011 "World's Largest Concert."

In early December, about 50 Birchwood students went to the Walt Whitman Birthplace to film a video of their choral performance of the song "When Music Plays," by Mac Huff.

The video, which is sponsored by MENC--The National Association for Music Education as the centerpiece of "Music in Our Schools Month," will be broadcast through public-access stations and music classrooms around the country.
