Will you be watching or simply enjoying the holiday?
President Obama will be sworn in twice for his second term this year.
Because the term officially begins on Jan. 20, the president will take the oath on Sunday in a private ceremony. A larger public ceremony is set for Monday, which is also Martin Luther King Day, when kids are out of school and some offices are closed.
Some Long Islanders, such as former Suffolk legislative leader Jon Cooper and his husband, Rob, are headed for the ceremonies. Others will be watching from home.
