Local leaders legislators welcomed Cuba Gooding and The Main Ingredient at kick-off the Huntington Arts Council’s Summer Arts Festival this past weekend.
Councilwoman Susan A. Berland and Suffolk County Legislator William Spencer were on hand to kick off the 47th annual event at the Harry Chapin Stage in Heckscher Park on Saturday.
Spencer said he was thrilled to join Councilwoman Susan Berland and others in welcoming Cuba Gooding and The Main Ingredient to the Kick-Off of the Huntington Arts Council’s Summer Arts Festival this past weekend.
"My family and I will definitely return to see some of the world-class performers scheduled this summer!”
Berland thanks organizers and said she looks forward to welcoming many musicians to the stage this summer.
"I would like to thank Diana Cherryholmes, executive director of the Huntington Arts Council and her dedicated staff for coordinating this wonderful event,” said Berland.
