Work Day at Manor Farm

Join in helping to clean up Manor Farm at one of the work days there.

At these regular monthly work days (excepting January and February), helpers work on cleaning up and maintaining Manor Farm and the trails in the adjoining parks.

Bring work gloves, clippers/loppers and lunch. Dress for the temperature! This is outdoor work, but we can eat lunch indoors. The work days are canceled or rescheduled in case of bad weather.

Scheduled dates are May 7 and July 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Starflower also could use help on June 4 to set up and clean up at its Community Yard Sale. For setup, come as early as 7:30 a.m. and for cleanup about 3:30 p.m.

Organizers need people to set up Starflower Experiences's booth, price and arrange items, sell them and then pack it all up at the end of the day.

Manor Farm was purchased in March 2000, the first acquisition after voters approved the Town of Huntington's Open Space Referendum. The farm is 5.1 acres along Manor Road, just north of Jericho Turnpike. Berkeley Jackson County Park is along its south and eastern sides; additional town parkland comprises the northern border.
