During the month of December, the South Huntington Public Library is once again hosting a flag drop-off program whereby old Old Glories can be retired and destroyed with dignity according to procedures recommended by the National Flag Foundation.
The Greenlawn American Legion and The South Huntington Public Library have partnered in this effort to provide a convenient drop off location to encourage proper disposal of retired star spangled banners. Come by any time the library is open during December and look for the U.S mailbox with the custom paint job located in the lobby.
