17th LD Candidate: Lou D'Amaro [VIDEO]

North Babylon lawmaker seeking fourth term in Suffolk County Legislature.

Seeking his fourth term in office, North Babylon resident Lou D'Amaro hopes to continue his work in the 17th District of the Suffolk County Legislature.

D'Amaro, 50, said he has helped to hold the line on county general fund property taxes while working on creating jobs by passing a capital budget that cuts spending but keeps enough projects to keep people working.

"Whether we are talking about health issues or whether we are talking about taxes we've been working on a whole range of issues for you here in Suffolk County," said D'Amaro last week at a candidate forum in Greenlawn.

The married father of two is an attorney with a bachelor's degree in political science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a law degree from St. John's University.

D'Amaro, a Democrat, helped to pass legislation to ban artificial transfats in all county restaurant foods.

Editor's Note: Because of audio difficulties, Legis. D'Amaro's taped interview with Patch could not be aired. Patch regrets the technical error.

They do have the metal inside and they are all the same size. If you are seriously interested I willRead More gladly send you some more pictures. As far as the price, the best I can do is a bundle. Maybe 4 for $100 or 2 for $60. They were looked at by a store owner who wanted to purchase and sell in her store for $50 each. They are very cute, very trendy :)

Do they have the metal inside that held the glass bottles? Are they different sizes? It's hard toRead More tell from the pic. I would definitely buy 2 or 3 but, I wouldn't be able to pay 40.00 each. 20-25 each I can do. Thanks, Karen

I have no idea why the Patch isn't covering any of this. Go Huntington!

I would love to become part of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce. However, for a new business itRead More is costly and may not fit into every new business owners budget. May I suggest a provisional 1-year membership at a reduced cost. Once successful the provisional members can give back by supporting other new members.
