16th LD Candidate: Steve Stern [VIDEO]

Suffolk County Legis. , D-Dix Hills, is seeking re-election for his fourth term on Nov. 8.

A county legislator since 2005 in the 16th District, which covers Centerport, Deer Park, East Northport, Greenlawn, Melville, North Babylon, Dix Hills and Elwood Stern has lived in Dix Hills for 12 years after growing up on Long Island.

"I am running for reelection to continue to buils on a record I am so proud of," said stern last week ata candidate forum in Greenlawn. "A record of holding he line on taxes and providing fiscal responsibility particularly during these challenging times." 

Environmental protection the fight against overdevelopment are issues Stern said he favors.

The lawmaker graduated from Tulane University School of Arts and Sciences in New Orleans and received his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Mich., graduating Cum Laude.  He is a Certified Elder Law Attorney.
