Two People Shot in Huntington Station

Police investigate early morning shooting that left two wounded in Huntington Station.

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that injured two people in Huntington Station early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 2 a.m., 21-year-old Ariel Perez was standing in front of 11A Church St. with a group of people when a man approached and opened fire. Perez was struck several times. Bonnie McCoy, 23, who was sitting on the front stoop of the building, was also struck by one round.

Perez and McCoy were transported in private vehicles to Huntington Hospital for treatment of what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries. Police said the investigation is continuing.
