Suffolk County police arrested two men for driving while intoxicated in Huntington Station on Saturday. According to police, while administering field sobriety tests on the driver of a 1996 Nissan Maxima, his passenger, who was also intoxicated, drove away in the vehicle.

Second Precinct Police Officers Diego Campoli and David Mason were on patrol in the vicinity of the Jack Abrams Intermediate School on Lowndes Avenue in Huntington Station when they observed a 1996 Nissan Maxima being operated in an erratic manner. They initiated a traffic stop at 2:45 a.m. and began administering field sobriety tests on the driver, Jeff Gay.

While the officers were testing the driver, his passenger, Jason Butler, climbed into the driver's seat and drove away. The officers quickly stopped the vehicle.
