Second Precinct team revived man in cardiac arrest.

Officers from the Suffolk County Second Precinct were honored recently for their successful efforts to rescue a man in cardiac arrest.

The American Heart Association saluted Officers Joshua Parsons, James Garside, Angela Ferrara, David Weymouth and Peter Kieseheuer for their rescue of a Suffolk County Parks employee on Jan.24.

Police said Daniel Vanasse, 58, and his son Nicholas Vanasse, 22, both from Quebec, Canada, were making a delivery for WPW Growers, at 400 W. Pulaski Road, Huntington Station, when they noticed the man lying on the ground.  Nicholas Vanasse initiated CPR and Daniel Vanasse reached out to someone who called 911.
