Silver Alert Issued for Missing Huntington Bay Woman

Marilyn Labate. 68, was last seen on Tuesday.

The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Huntington Bay woman who suffers from diabetes.

Marilyn Labate, 68, is described as white, 5-foot-1, 160 pounds, with gray shoulder-length hair. She was last seen at St. Francis Hospital in Manhasset on Tuesday, when she signed herself out. It is not known what clothing she was wearing at the time. She may be heading to her home in Huntington Bay, police said. 

Anyone with information about her location is asked to contact Second Squad detectives at 631-854-8252.

I believe a silver alert was also issued back in 2013 for the same woman. It's a shame.

Its the same woman that wandered from the mall n was found at a supermarket by syosset i believe. Wonder if the hospital read the patient chart or spoke to her before she signed herself out. Change in behavior? Altered mental status? Has diabetes..how bout that glucose level? Couldv given them a heads up on y not to release her. She wandered away from her family at least once..y not call them before allowing her to sign out? Why doesnt the family hav her wear a med bracelet so hospitals r aware of her wandering? Such a shame.
