SCPD Continues Search for Armed Robbery Suspect

Suspect, who displayed a handgun, fled with cash and cigarettes; remains at-large.

The Suffolk County Police Department continues to search for a suspect who robbed the Gulf Gas Station on the corner of Main Street and Spring Road across from Heckscher Park in Huntington around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night.

The suspect, who according to police displayed a handgun and demanded cash and cigarettes, is described as a black male in his 30s about 5-feet, 10-inches tall with crooked front teeth. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing dark jeans cuffed at bottom, a black baseball hat and a cream-colored pullover sweatshirt. According to police, the suspect also had his right arm in a sling and a light flesh colored ace bandage wrapped around his face and head.
 
A police spokesperson said the suspect fled with cash and cigarettes. The investigation is continuing.
