A postal truck slammed into a HART passenger bus on Pidgeon Hill Road near Greenhills Road in South Huntington Thursday injuring one person.
The driver of the postal truck was extracted by Huntingotn Manor Fire Department personnel and airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital with multiple injuries, according to responders at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The bus suffered minor damage.
Suffolk County police and U.S. Postal Service representatives are investigating the accident.
