Jogger Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle
Greenlawn woman fatally injured after being hit by a car driven by Huntington man.
Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a jogger in Huntington early Thursday morning.
According to police, Andrea Olsen was jogging on Manor Road, just south of Little Plains Road, in Huntington when she was struck by an Infiniti driven by Scott Silverman, 47, of Ciro Street in Huntington, at close to 6:30 a.m.
Olsen, 42, of Cuba Hill Road in Greenlawn, was transported to Huntington Hospital where she died a short time later. Silverman was not injured in the accident.

Police said the Infiniti was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is ongoing.
