High Wind Causes Minor Damage in Huntington

A large branch fell in Huntington Thursday snapping cable and power lines on Valentine Avenue as a result of high winds in the area.

High winds caused a large branch to break loose from a tree on Valentine Avenue near Cuba Hill Road in Huntington Thursday causing minor damage to power and cable lines.

Strong winds, with gusts up to 30 mph, are forecast in Huntington through Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

No injuries were reported by emergency responders at the scene.

A few homes in the area lost power as a result of the damage.
