A Huntington Manor firefighter suffered burns Thursday while battling a blaze in a house at 5 East 20th St.
The fire in the two-story home was reported at 4:18 p.m. The department said firefighters attempted to enter the house but a rear setback collapsed, forcing them outside to continue the battle.
Huntington and Greenlawn departments assisted, with the Huntington Community First Aid Squad transporting the injured firefighter.
Town of Huntington fire marshals and Suffolk County Police arson squad are investigating the cause of the blaze.
