Girl, 6, in car; no injuries reported.

A Huntington man was accused Friday of driving while intoxicated with a child in the car after he was involved in a three-car crash on East Main Street.

Suffolk police said Kyl Wilm was driving a 2005 Dodge pickup on East Main about 5:05 p.m. when he hit the rear of a 2007 SUV. The SUV then struck a 1999 Toyota.

Second Precinct Officer Nicholas Guerrero arrested Wilm, 41, on charges of
aggravated driving while intoxicated with a passenger 15 years old or younger (Leandra’s Law), driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child. Police said the child was in a booster seat in the rear of the car.

There were no injuries in the crash. Wilm’s vehicle was impounded for a safety check. The child was released to her mother.

He is scheduled for arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
