Cops: Station Woman Crashes, Charged with DWI

Suffolk Police allege woman driving with 6-year-old in back seat hit parked car early Sunday, charged with aggravated DWI.

A Huntington Station woman with her 6-year-old son in the back seat was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI early Sunday after she crashed into a parked car, Suffolk County Police said.

According to police, Yessica Campos-Gomez, 21, was observed slumped over in her vehicle after striking a car along Bayview Drive in Huntington. An officer from the made the determination Campos-Gomez was under the influence of alcohol and made the arrest.

No one was injured in the crash, police said 

Campos-Gomez was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a passenger 15 years old or younger (Leandra’s Law), driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child.

She was scheduled to be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Central Islip.
