Cops Searching For Assault Witnesses
Police seek witnesses, suspects in attack which injured two women on New York Avenue Saturday.
Suffolk County police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the unknown person or persons who committed an assault in Huntington Aug. 20.
According to police, an argument escalated into an fight in front of Little Vincent’s Pizza on New York Avenue at 3:25 a.m. Saturday with two women suffering injuries to the face after an attack by two suspects, one male and one female, both either Hispanic or black.
Police are seeking to identify any witnesses to the crime — in particular, a male good samaritan who helped a victim across the street and a motorist, possibly a taxi driver, who stopped at the location and stated he observed the incident.

The female suspect is described as black or Hispanic, 5’4" tall, 160 to 190 pounds, wearing a peach- or orange-colored shirt. Her hair was in a ponytail. A black or Hispanic male was wearing a shirt with the profanity wording on the front.
Police are offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Anyone with information is encouraged to call call 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential, according to police.
