A Plan to SaveHuntington Through Government Reform
- Term Limits
- Annual Performance Audit
- End Patronage
- Campaign Finance Reform
- Ethics Reform
- Create a Residents’ Bill of Rights
- Creation of a new Town Charter
- Create the Office of the Public Advocate
- Institute spending caps
- Allow the 15 Hamlets of Huntington to represent themselves with regards to zoning
- Institute a program of privatization and competition of government services
- Create greater transparency through technology
- Increase safety and security throughout Huntington via code and budget reforms
- Eliminate central planning groups like the Economic Development Corp. and the Community Development Corp. in order to save the taxpayers money
- End all housing subsidies and preferential treatment based on income
- Rotate town board meetings from school district to school district
- Inform the public of all correspondence between government officials and special interest groups

This year’s town board vote is too important to leave to vague promises, overused clichés and gratuitous pandering. The time is now to get serious about government reform.
