Tell Us: Parking Options

What are some solutions to the Huntington village parking problem?

A Huntington Village Parking Consortium Group has been established to reexamine parking needs in downtown Huntington.

The Town of Huntington Economic Development Corporation, the Huntington Business Development District, the Huntington Township  and The  Theater LLC have all concurred that significant more parking is required to meet growing demand, according to Town officials.

One of the options discussed has been the possible construction of a parking garage in Huntington village?

Would you support construction of a parking garage in Huntington? What are some other options that migh help wth the parking problem downtown?

It's inevitable and will happen at some point in time. Hopefully it will be done right and be required to have 24 hr. security & cameras....there I go being optimistic.....

Actually I just recently found out that Paramount leases parking from the town. When they have concerts you cannot park in certain spots. Yes - how are those buses working out?? I see them, but do not see any people on them. The town is going downhill fast.

The Paramount likes to act like they own the Elm Street parking lot, just as Prime likes to pretend the lot at the north end of NY Ave is not a municipal lot......Gib=ving them privileges to monopolize keyy parking spaces strips the rest of us of the right to parking.

The mulitplex got approved because they would "utilize public parking". so no need to worry they have insufficient parking. The Paramount got approved because they would "utilize public parking" , so no need to worry they have insufficient parking... See a trend here? Might as well just move to Manhattan

The town should use the "STATE OF THE ART CAR POOLING SYSTEM" THEY HAVE IN EUROPE, everyone meets at work .------------- it,s a joke. Jim
