New York State AFL-CIO endorses Joe Dujmic

Joe Dujmic receives the endorsement of the Long Island Federation of Labor/New York State AFL-CIO

Yesterday evening, Joe Dujmic's campaign received the endorsement of the Long Island Federation of Labor/New York State AFL-CIO.

In a statement, Joe Dujmic responded to the endorsement saying: "I am so thankful to receive this endorsement because it comes from the hard-working residents of Suffolk County who literally build our island and keep it moving everyday."

The Long Island Federation of Labor,  AFL-CIO has more than 250,000 members and represents a wide range of union workers from teachers to technicians, public employees to painters, bus drivers to bricklayers, retail, auto, janitorial, utility, health care and construction workers. The Federation is the voice for the Long Island labor movement. It speaks on behalf of Long Island's working families and its affiliated local unions to political leaders and legislative bodies at every level of government. Over 160 AFL-CIO unions are affiliated with the Federation and 32 different unions and locals sit on the Executive Board, including the Building and Construction Trades Council of Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

"The endorsement of the New York State AFL-CIO is not just a piece of paper," stated Mario Cilento, President of NYS AFL-CIO. "We will coordinate grassroots campaigns and get out the vote efforts throughout the state to ensure that our members understand the critical issues in these elections and just how important it is that they get to the polls and support our endorsed candidates."
