Blue Devil Boys’ Soccer Alumni Game Set for May 18

The Huntington High School boys’ soccer alumni game is picking up steam as 20 Blue Devil grads have indicated they are coming back to their alma mater on Saturday, May 18 at 11 a.m. for a contest on the synthetic turf field. Huntington soccer alumni of all ages and any graduating year are invited to participate.

Blue Devil varsity head coach John Pagano is still trying to reach as many former players as possible. “We hope to have a great turnout,” he said. “It is a really fun day and it’s nice for everyone to reconnect with one another.”

This will mark the sixth alumni game since Pagano to first organize the event. The alumni games have been competitive affairs and proved to be popular with former Blue Devil players. Pagano said alumni players should arrive earlier so they have plenty of time to warm-up and also socialize with one another.

Alumni playing in the game are asked to make a $10 contribution to the program. To participate, former players should contact Pagano at jpagano@hufsd.edu.

“Everything is set for everyone to have a great time,” Pagano said.
