Chamber’s Breakfast Series

If you're looking for great fun in a business environment, the Huntington Chamber’s 2012 April Networking Breakfast is sure to be one breakfast you won't want to miss.  The breakfast will take place on Tuesday, April 24th and will be a morning filled with enjoyable networking and great information as LI Ducks' Bud Harrelson and Frank Bolton join us for an engaging and valuable business breakfast event.   The program will take place at the Huntington Yacht Club (95 East Shore Road, Huntington), from 7:30 to 10 a.m.  where attendees will be greeted by the LI Ducks' own QuackerJack mascot.

Frank Boulton is in his 13th season as founder and CEO of the Long Island Ducks, Baseball America’s 2007 Organization of the Year. Frank has owned three other farm teams as well as the Long Island Rough Riders professional soccer team.  Driven by a sense of gratitude, hard work, and dedication, Frank has been involved with many local charities and was named one of Long Island’s 100 most influential people by the Long Island Business News. Presently, he serves as chairman of the QuackerJack Foundation, the charitable arm of the Ducks, and is a member of the Board of Trustees at both Dowling College and Empire National Bank.  Additionally, Frank is a member of two Halls of Fame -- The Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame (2003) and the Bay Shore High School Hall of Fame (2002, inaugural class). In addition to these honors, Frank has received numerous local and national awards.

Bud Harrelson has a playing, coaching and managing career that has spanned over 40 years.  He continues his baseball career as co-owner, Senior VP of Baseball Operations and first base coach of the Long Island Ducks.  Buddy was a key member of the 1969 World Champion and 1973 National League champion New York Mets. In 1971, he won the Gold Glove for his outstanding defensive play at shortstop.  Following a 16-year major league career as a player, Harrelson stayed within the Mets organization as a minor league and major league coach before being named manager of the Mets in 1990. Prior to joining the Ducks ownership group, Harrelson was involved with the ownership of the Wilmington Blue Rocks baseball team (Class-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals).

In addition to the featured speakers, the Chamber will be honoring several members' milestone celebrations including Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society, Gundermann & Gundermann, Finnegans Restaurant & Tap Room, Coindre Hall, Ten Haagen Financial Group and the Townwide Fund of Huntington  “Our breakfast is focused on fostering an effective networking environment with solid speakers who provide useful information within a fun and engaging program for all our members,” said Huntington Chairman Robert Bontempi. “Our networking breakfasts are a forum to  build relationships with peers as well as with influential professionals with the skills, influence and/or funding to help grow business successfully," Bontempi added.

The program includes a significantly reduced ticket price of $25 for Chamber members and $35 for non-members. Each breakfast has a keynote speaker(s) who will provide valuable information and tips for doing business on Long Island.  Future breakfasts will take place on Tuesday, May 22 and Tuesday, September 25  at  the Huntington Yacht Club.
