Redecorating: How to Redo Your Rooms

Professional interior designer Jacqui Palatnik will share tips on how to redecorate and revitalize your rooms during a free program open to the public on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 6:30 pm at the Cold Spring Harbor Library & Environmental Center.

Retired after years of providing professional interior design consultation, Jacqui Palatnik is still excited to share her decorating knowledge with adults, and young adults, eager to give their spaces a face-lift. “I love to teach people how to revitalize their spaces, and I find that teens as well as adults look for guidance,” says Palatnik. She explains the use of color, space planning, fabrics, accessories, lighting, and more, in a slideshow presentation she developed for audiences of all ages. Homeowners will learn how to “bring the outside in” and, for those who want to “go green,” Palatnik will discuss environmentally friendly decorating options. Her workshop attendees leave with handouts designed to assist them with implementing the concepts they have learned.
