Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade with "Securing the Promise of Roe v. Wade," a program by Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic and Planned Parenthood Nassau County. Jessica Arons, director of the Women's Health and Rights Program at the Center for American Progress, will talk about the barriers women face in accessing abortion and what we can do to fulfill the promise of Roe for all women.

The libraries host so many events. Why did Patch choose to promote only this creepy "celebration" on twitter, which seems to be a Planned Parenthood fundraiser, based on the $20 and $15 set admission charge?

Patch isn't promoting it. The event was posted by someone involved with it.

But (you) Patch tweeted it on your Twitter account.

Yes, true. We tweet and Facebook as many of our announcements and events as we can so people interested in the topic can attend. It doesn't imply endorsement of the activity. We are not promoting a cause. Obviously there are people in the community who want to know about it; others are opposed.

My point is, a quick look shows that there are at least 20 different events listed to take place between today and Weds.. You only tweeted about 1 local event announcement in the last three days. Singling out this announcement of all the others to broadcast on Twitter, IS promoting the event. What else would you call it? As I said in my original post, I don't understand why Patch chose to promote ONLY this creepy "celebration" on Twitter. Thanks for your reply.
