A pedestrian was killed in a Huntington Station accident Thursday morning. Lewis Weill was driving a 2005 Saab westbound in the right lane of Jericho Turnpike, east of Evergreen Avenue, in Huntington Station when his vehicle struck a pedestrian at 4:45 a.m., say. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The driver of a sanitation truck was injured Thursday in an rollover accident on West Neck Road in Lloyd Harbor.

Fire commissioners were elected in several district races Tuesday. In three-candidate race in ,  (419 votes) defeated Ron Schankin (293 votes) and Bedal Saget (259 votes).

At a Nov. 30 meeting, the district unanimously approved an undiclosed bid offer for a website redesign.
