Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) recently joined staff at the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) to tour the facility and learn about the services and research provided by the organization. The organization provides high-quality services, including day programs, residential programs and more to over 5,000 children and adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities.
“DDI is truly committed to bettering the lives of those with Autism and other developmental disabilities,” said Lupinacci. “The staff, researchers and care givers at the institute provide the very best care, while nurturing communication and stimulating learning skills. Thanks to the work of those at DDI, the future is bright for those with developmental disabilities.”

DDI is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing educational, residential, day habilitation and vocational training, as well as medical, dental and other health-related services to over 5,000 children and adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities. DDI was founded in 1961 by a small group of parents, determined to find a better way to address the special education and therapeutic needs of their children.
