Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) recently joined the Huntington Elks for their annual golf outing. During this year’s outing, the late-Assemblyman James D. Conte was honored for his service to the Huntington community. Conte represented Huntington in the Assembly for over 24 years before his passing last year.
“Jim, as we all knew him, was not simply a great legislator but a true friend to all he met,” said Lupinacci. “Jim was a remarkable statesman who remains beloved by those on both sides of the aisle. He truly loved serving as a voice for the Huntington community and the responsibility that came with that position. But more importantly, Jim was a family man who treasured his time with Deb and their three children, Sarah, Jeff and Samantha. The Elks put on a fitting tribute to this great man and I want to thank everyone who attended and made the event so special.”
