Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) recently attended a blood drive to benefit local Huntington community member Bob Biernacki. Biernacki, who was diagnosed with diabetes 22 years ago, is an active member of the Huntington Community, raising three children with his wife, Jodi. A member of the Huntington Booster Club, Biernacki also spent much of his time coaching boys and girls lacrosse. Recently, however, his kidney began to fail and he is now in need of a transplant. Unfortunately, the state list has a four- to six-year waiting list.

“Bob is a great leader in our community who supports our youth programs whole-heartedly,” said Lupinacci. “This is a devastating circumstance that needs immediate action for Bob and his family. I was pleased to see the turn out at the blood drive and the camaraderie that exists in our community when a fellow member needs help. I wish Bob and his family the very best and hope that he finds the appropriate type of donor needed.”
