What Would You Improve in Huntington?

Share your thoughts here on how to make Huntington a better place to live.

Like many communities on Long Island, Huntington has great things to offer residents, but could always use improvements.

Schools continue to provide students a solid education, but the tax cap and unfunded mandates are making things difficult. Burglaries seem to have become a bit more commonplace.

And while there are success stories around Huntington, vacancies, such as the former Blockbuster store on Jericho Turnpike or the old Dairy Barn on New York Avenue, still exist and the need to attract new business continues.

It's times like these that people get to thinking about the home they love so much, coming up with their own ideas, whether they're wild stretches of the imagination or practical fixes that are altogether doable, to keep all of Lindenhurst great into the foreseeable future.
