Two New Stores Moving Into Barnes & Noble Space

Preparations underway for ULTA Beauty and Tilly's in Huntington Station.

Two new stores are setting up shop in the vacant Barnes & Noble space in Huntington Station.

Signs in the window confirm that Tilly's Specialty Retail Clothing and ULTA Beauty will be moving into the location at 380 Walt Whitman Road.

Tilly's and ULTA have each posted job listings online for the new Huntington Station stores. Workers were busy at the location Thursday readying the stores for operation.

Based in Irvine, Cailif., Tilly's specializes in action sports clothing, shoes and accessories including surf, skate, motocross and lifestyle apparel. There are 141 stores in 14 states.

ULTA, based in Romeoville, Ill., is a discount beauty retailer which provides one-stop shopping for salon products and services at 449 locations in 43 states, according to the company's website.

A worker at Tilley's corporate office said no date has been set for the opening of the store, but it should come soon.

Unable to reach a new lease agreement with Federal Realty which manages the shopping center, Barnes & Noble of 2011.

Ulta isn't too bad but who needs a Tilly's with Sports Authority, Dick's, Modell's, and the Ski/Surf shop down the road?? How 'bout a Penny's somewhere nearby??

Ulta is not in the mall, closest is Commack or Levittown.
