Seasonal and Full-Time Jobs Available

With the arrival of the holidays comes several job openings, including seasonal positions.

But while some openings are in holiday sales, Chris Campisi, metro market manager for staffing firm Robert Half International in Hauppauge, said openings can be found well beyond the mall. Many are fulltime, permanent positions.

 “Seasonal jobs aren’t just tied to the retail industry. In a number of industries, companies need to hire different workers at the end of the year," Campisi said. “We are seeing a number of opportunities for seasonal workers in the Long Island market.  Administrative professionals are in high demand to take on tasks from reception and customer service to data entry.”

For some workers, a seasonal job can mean more than just a little extra money, Campisi said. “Taking on a seasonal position can be a great way for job seekers to earn an income while experiencing different work environments and meeting new people. These positions can also often lead to full-time employment.”
