Readers' Choice: Vote for the Best Summer Camp

Let us know the best summer camp in Huntington, Dix Hills and Northport so we can put it to a vote and find out which is the Readers’ Choice 2012 winner.

Where can you find the best summer camp in Huntington, Dix Hills and Northport?

Patch is relaunching its Readers’ Choice program and we’re asking you, your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers and anyone else who knows our area to nominate the best spots.

The nomination period ran through July 9.

Now it’s time to vote. Cast your vote by Aug. 17 and help us decide who's best. Whichever business gets the most votes will be named our Readers' Choice winner.

Thanks in advance for your participation!

Camp Alvernia! They are a beautiful, nature and rustic setting with staff that is trained in every situation and treats their camps with kindness and respect. Their programs are wonderful. They teach respect and kindness in a fun setting with many daily activities to offer. The kids absolutely love every day they spend their. 3 summers so far and counting. Alvernia does not disappoint! (located on Centerport).

The YMCA in Huntington looks great for kids! I go to the Y in Huntington and it's a nice place. I just wish they kept the bathrooms cleaner. They do mop w/  bleach, but they never vac or sweep before they mop. So, they just end up pushing dirt & hair around on the floor when they mop. I have been going to the Y for years, but I have never seen them clean the  showers.

The Village Artist offers a an opportunity to expose children to many art mediums. They have fun experimenting and developing their artist skills. They also walk away with a work of art.

We were so happy to be part of the "Kenwal Family" this past summer....It was a brand new experience for my four year old and he couldn't have been happier! The staff did more than I could ask for to make sure he was always smiling. I know Spencer will grow up spending his summers at Kenwal...Michael Z.

THOMAS SCHOOL OF HORSEMANSHIP DOES NOT SEND ANY OF THEIR HORSES TO SLAUGHTER AND THE NEVER HAVE. EVERY HORSE IS SPOILED AND TAKEN CARE OF TO THE FULLEST. PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT BEFORE OPENING YOUR MOUTH AND SPREADING LIES. ANY BODY IS WELCOME TO COME BY TO SEE HOW WELL THE HORSES ARE CARED FOR.

Ms Corley, what is the basis for your comment? You are no better than a vandal yelling "FIRE" in the middle of a crowded movie theatre, filled with kids and their parents.
