UFC Gym, featuring training for boxing and other sports, will be opening at 670 East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station. The site was previously occupied by Lighthouse Harley-Davidson.
Owner Scott Wafer, who runs LA Boxing in Commack, said the new family sports facility, which will open in June, will offer training for such sports as boxing but not competitions. In addition to the boxing ring, half cages and heavy bags, he will expand to offer a basketball court, turf field and velocity sports. And other plans call for adding massage, orthopedic treatments and a juice bar.
