Gas Station Shuts Down on East Jericho
Mobil station at Park Avenue intersection is blocked off.
A gas station at the intersection of East Jericho Turnpike and Park Avenue has closed down.
It was rated as recently as Sunday on its prices.
Though much of its signage has been removed, a note posted in the door of the station reads "Closed. Sorry." The parking lot is blocked off with traffic cones and yellow tape and the barriers sit in front of each pump. Fueling prices are gone, as are most indications of the station's corporate name.
If the closing is permanent, that would leave the 4.1-mile stretch of Park Avenue from East Jericho Turnpike to Main Street without places to buy gas.
