Occupants of a house at 303 Nassau Road escaped a blaze that broke out Sunday morning.
Huntington Manor Chief Fred Steenson Jr. said the fire broke out on the second floor of the house. Firefighters had to contend with both the fire and Sunday's heat.
Crews from Huntington and Halesite assisted, with about 70 firefighters on the scene, Steenson said.
The Huntington Community First Aid Squad and Suffolk police were also on the scene. We'll have more information later.
