MusicFest Set to Rock the Waters

Seventh annual free show features bands performing at the lighthouse.

The end of summer is around the corner and that means it's time for the Huntington Lighthouse MusicFest.

Set for Saturday, the seventh annual is held entirely on the waters surrounding the lighthouse, with organizers calling it the only festival in the world held on a working lighthouse.

More than 7,000 participants from around the metropolitan area  join the festivities each last year, using yachts, boats, kayaks, canoes and inner tubes to reach the site.

Among the bands performing Saturday are Milagro, Ed Travers,  King Wellington, Pamela Betti, The Fuzz, the Sons of Pitches, Playback, Blacklight and Chic'N Martini.

The  music begins at 11 a.m. and runs through 8 p.m.

A 5 mph, no-wake zone is in effect from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. within a one-mile radius of the lighthouse. See attached map.
