What kept the Long Island night blindingly bright in a face of a lunar eclipse? Your neighbor's holiday lights, of course.
Love them or hate them, you cannot deny their mesmerizing power. Surely LIPA can attest. These staples of suburban living are a December holiday tradition. And they do more than brighten up front lawns, stoops and rooftops. They inspire child-like wonder.
Patch judged the best holiday light displays in communities across Long Island. Here are our high-watt winners.

The Christmasville House is the best hands down
dasher , dancer , prancer , vixen , comet , cupid, Donner, blitzen , and the last but not least Rudolph!!!! But my best part of those decorations are the electric trains. I vote for Crescent Beach Road Glen Cove
We can see it ALL the way in Toronto, Canada!!! Awesome decorations!!!
You can see that lots of time and love went into decorating that house. Awesome!!!
