Huntington Authors Debut Book on Oheka Castle History

Joan Cergol and Ellen Schaffer talk about their new book telling historical story about restored Huntington Gold Coast treasure.

It's the second largest private home ever built in America, and it was abandoned in ruins and almost destroyed in the 1980's, but  in Huntington was saved and restored and is now recognized as a Gold Coast Era Long Island Treasure.

Huntington Authors Joan Cergol and Ellen Schaffer recently debuted their new book, "Images of America: Oheka Castle," published by Arcadia Books at the 2012 Friends of . The book tells the story of Oheka in historic photographs going back to the mansions construction by Otto Kahn in 1919 through its restoration by developer Gary Melius. 

The authors are scheduled to speak about the book and do a book signing at Book Revue on July 27.
